Services & My Approach
Raising children truly takes a village, and it’s an honor to be a part of yours. I highly value being able to create a space where both caregivers and children can show up authentically in a compassionate and non-judgmental space. I view our work together as us collaborating as a team so your child can get the support they need to reach their full potential. My work is child-led, meaning I meet your child where they’re at and follow their pace. Sessions can include imaginative play, sandtray work, art - it depends on your child’s goals, needs, strengths, and interests. Sessions are most often non-directive, meaning I follow the child’s lead, but sometimes incorporate directive work to target specific topics and skills. For older kids and pre-teens, sessions are often a blend of talking, play, and directive activities. My work is trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, and I value creating a safe space for all identities.

Weekly, biweekly, or monthly play therapy sessions. Session structure includes 40 minutes of one-on-one therapy with your child, followed by a 10-minute parent meeting to discuss progress and ways to support your child outside of sessions. Sessions are tailored to meet your child’s individual needs and to work on goals identified at the start of our work together. In sessions, children will be able to explore feelings and challenges to develop more awareness, practice new ways to respond to challenges and regulate through them, develop coping skills to use outside of sessions, and create new patterns over time that lead to lasting change.

Weekly, biweekly, or monthly therapy sessions. Depending on your child’s age, development, and goals, we will incorporate parent meetings at a frequency that feels like a good fit. Sessions are tailored to meet your child’s individual needs and to work on goals identified at the start of our work together. My work with pre-teens and adolescents is informed by Synergetic Play Therapy and Polyvagal Theory to conceptualize their behaviors as nervous system expressions, and often includes a blend of non-directive work with directive activities to hone in on certain skills. In sessions, pre-teens and adolescents will have a confidential and non-judgmental space to explore and process feelings and challenges, identify and practice coping strategies, and learn life-long skills to regulate emotions and manage life’s challenges. I see clients up to 15 years old and specialize in seeing pre-teen and adolescent girls.

Parent coaching can be an add-on or stand-alone service for caregivers needing more support outside of existing services or caregivers wanting to focus on the ways they’re responding to and supporting their child at home. During parent coaching sessions, we can further discuss the challenges you’re facing in supporting your child, ways to co-regulate and support yourself so you can show up for your child, how to address behavioral concerns, and more. Caregivers are welcome in sessions if children invite them in, and if it’s an appropriate fit, we can discuss what family work could look like.
